06-25-2001The Fox is still on; New tour dates + change; John Popper to play at Jammys

Although tickets for the July 5th show at the Fox Theatre have not yet gone on sale, the show is still a go, according to Blues Traveler management. While the on-sale date is tied to the success of sales at the previous night's Red Rocks extravaganza, the show will proceed as announced, with tickets possibly going on sale as late as the day of the show itself. Since the two shows have the same promoter, there is also the possibility that tickets for the Fox may be on sale at the Red Rocks venue, though this has not been confirmed yet.

One date for the summer has changed slightly; fans in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan should be aware that the Iron Mountain show at Pine Mountain Resort has shifted from July 21st to the 19th due to scheduling conflicts. While shows for the remainder of the summer are expected to surface any day now, the dates continue leaking out thanks to various web sites around the entertainment industry. The latest such date places the band at Hyannis, MA's Cape Cod Melody tent on August 28th; this date is now listed in the Tourdates section. Tickets go on sale June 28th. This date in June is also significant as it marks the second annual Jammy awards, sponsored by JamBands.com. Joining in this year's celebration will be John Popper, who is slated to jam with the Disco Biscuits on stage at the Jammys. According to organizer Dean Budnick, Popper may also sit in with house band Derek Trucks Band, and is expected to join in the final jam at the end of the evening.
