A message sent from Surf Ballroom management has revealed that the
Minnesota-based promoter for the July 26th show has backed out of the
show for unspecified reasons. As a result, the show appears to be dead
in the water. The note from the Surf reads, in part:
"It is not feasible for us to put on the show as we have
done no advertsing [sic], do not have tickets printed and do not even have
a contract with Blues Traveler. Perhaps we can do a Blues Traveler show in
the future that we are actually involved with as opposed to a flaky
promoter that can not afford to put down a deposit to rent the building."
At the moment no plans have been announced to reschedule the date,
as even the band had been in the dark as to these most recent
developments. The July 25th and 27th dates are still on for Medina, MN and
Dubuque, IA, however.
