11-19-2003Truth Be Told to be released in DVD-Audio; Thinnest Of Air slated for European release; Monday Night Football's "Monday At The Mic" semifinals set

BluesTraveler.Net has recently discovered that Truth Be Told will be the first Blues Traveler album to be released in the nascent DVD-Audio format. Silverline Records, a Los Angeles-based division of the 5.1 Entertainment Group, has been in the DVD-Audio business since 2002 and has released or will release studio albums by the likes of Widespread Panic, Living Colour, Taj Mahal and Bob Marley. They also count live albums from Iggy Pop, David Crosby and Jerry Lee Lewis among their catalog. Truth be Told will be out in DVD-Audio on December 9th.

For the benefit of all European travelers, German fan Daniel Heinze reports that there will be a European release of Thinnest of Air, the Blues Traveler DVD that hit stores yesterday in the US. While no date has been set yet, Sanctuary confirmed that they plan on releasing a Region 2 version of the two-disc set early next year that will enable European fans to relive the July 4th concert from this past year and the festivities surrounding it.

The semifinals are now set for the Monday Night Football showdown after Monday night's victory of Doug Flutie/Barenaked Ladies over Jerry Fontenot/Nickelback. The winner will go to a semifinal match against one of Kyle Turley/3 Doors Down, Bryan Scott/Michelle Branch and local favorite Joey Harrington/John Popper, the next semifinal airs the week after, and the grand finale airs on December 15th.
