06-17-2004Blues Traveler to play SIX free shows this summer as part of promotional tour

The black-cat is finally out of the bag! Blues Traveler is proud to announce that they will be playing six FREE shows in July and August as part of a promotional tour for Pilsner Urquell. This fills some suspicious holes in Blues Traveler's summer itinerary and includes the previously-announced July 3rd show at the Celtic Tavern in Denver. Shows will also take place at the following locations and dates:

  • July 13th - Knitting Factory, New York, NY
  • July 16th - Paradise Rock Club, Boston, MA
  • July 20th - Lulu's Club Mardi Gras, Washington, DC
  • July 29th - Joe's Sports Bar, Chicago, IL
  • August 5th - Variety Playhouse, Atlanta, GA
Entry to these shows will be first-come, first-serve, but as these shows are not being advertised for several weeks more, hardcore Blues Traveler fans will have the early notice to be able to plan for the shows. At each show, disposable cameras will be furnished for fans to take pictures of themselves enjoying Pilsner Urquell. The cameras will then be sent to Urquell headquarters and one lucky fan per show will be selected to take an all-expenses-paid trip with up to three friends to Prague, to tour the Pilsner Urquell brewery and see a Blues Traveler show in the capital of the Czech Republic next summer. This may also bode well for a future Blues Traveler European tour though no such information has been released yet.
