07-06-2004Colorado food drive a success, more dates and charities upcoming

The food drive associated with Rock For A Remedy in Colorado was a successful one - thanks to all who remembered to donate! If you weren't able to make it out to Red Rocks this year, there's still a chance to support Blues Traveler and local food banks at at least three more venues this summer. Rock For A Remedy will be taking donations the show on July 9th at the DTE Energy Music Theatre in Clarkston, MI to benefit Forgotten Harvest in conjunction with The Food Bank of Oakland County. The following day, RFAR will be collecting food at Promowest Pavilion in Columbus, OH to benefit the Mid-Ohio Food Bank. And on July 15th, the plan is to collect for the New Hampshire Food Bank. Suggested donations:

- canned meats (i.e., tuna, chicken, salmon)
- canned and boxed meals (i.e., soup, chili, stew, macaroni and cheese)
- peanut butter
- canned or dried beans and peas (i.e., black, pinto, lentils)
- pasta, rice, cereal
- canned fruits
- 100 percent fruit juice (canned, plastic or boxed)

Please do not bring any of the following items:
- rusty or unlabeled cans
- perishable items
- homemade items
- noncommercial canned or packaged items
- alcoholic beverages, mixes or soda
- open or used items

Thank you in advance for helping to show the compassion and generosity of Blues Traveler fans everywhere!
