08-30-2005"Amber Awaits" available through iTunes; Pre-sale tickets running out; More fall tour dates released

Let the downloading begin! Blues Traveler's first single off of ¡Bastardos!, "Amber Awaits", is now available for download through the iTunes Music Store. For the low, low price of 99 cents, you, too, can be the proud owner of the new single. We would say supplies are limited, but...you know better than that. But still - grab your copy today!

While we're on the Internet front, time is running out for you to grab your pre-sale tickets for the fall tour. The new fan club ticketing system, hosted by Front Gate Tickets, offers fans the first crack at tickets to recently-announced shows, sometimes up to two weeks before they go on sale to the general public. In addition, the service fees are considerably lower than what you'd pay through Ticketmaster - some shows go as low as $3 or $4 service fee per order, and offer will-call pickup at no extra charge. Compare that to the typical $8-$10 Ticketmaster or MusicToday fees, add in the fact that promoters often use pre-sales to help gauge interest in future shows in the area, and it's in your best interest to take advantage of the new system if you can swing it. Tickets are still on sale for dates after October 10th, all the way through the recently-added west-coast gigs in November.

The fall tour continues to round into shape with the aforementioned west-coast gigs. San Diego, Anaheim, West Hollywood, San Francisco, Portland and Seattle comprise the west-coast run, while other shows have been confirmed over the past two weeks in Columbus, OH; Atlantic City, NJ; Burlington, VT; Washington, DC; Knoxville, TN; and St. Petersburg, FL. An additional show - though as of yet unconfirmed - puts the band in Las Vegas at the House of Blues, and coincides with the kickoff of the newly-created Vegoose festival. It is unknown at this point if the show will form part of Vegoose, or if it will even take place, so stay tuned for more details. In addition, the band will be doing several media/publicity-based appearances to coincide with the release of ¡Bastardos! - September 8th will see the band visit "Last Call with Carson daly", September 13th will feature a record release in-store performance and signing at the Tower Records in Sherman Oaks, CA, and the band will be making an appearance on the Howard Stern show on September 21st, on the eve of their fall tour. More dates are still to be announced, so keep an eye on the tour page here, at BT.com, and at Front Gate Tickets.
