While side projects are usually rare for a band that toured as often as
Blues Traveler did, the New York City scene of the late 80's and early
90's was rife with opportunities to collaborate and jam on many an
occasion in dozens of tucked-away corners.
As the band's touring schedule expanded and thinned a bit in more recent
years, it gave all four members the chance to join forces with many
musicians they had met in their travels and form side projects and
supergroups.
In these pages we hope to chronicle these projects that have sprung from
familiarity and collaboration, from the early days of John Popper's solo
acoustic gigs through the rise and fall of the H.O.R.D.E. Festival to
today's John Popper Band, High Plains Drifter and Stolen Ogre. Come on
in!
