Gina sez... Central Park Cancelled.

NYC Travelers,

I wanted to take a moment to express my thoughts and feelings about the decision to cancel the show in Central Park. I want to be honest with you guys because I have great respect and devotion to the fans in NYC and my heart is breaking with this decision to cancel. We regret having to cancel this show, as I know so many people made plans to attend and we were all looking forward to a show in Central Park.

So many factors were against us with this show, the rain on Tuesday, the Presidential Debate and our choice to play a show so late in September. The guys love NYC and Central Park and wanted to do something different and cool for our old school hometown crowd and we apologize for this, our mistake.

The summer was so positive and the guys are playing the best they have in years, as always you have supported us and we appreciate that more than I can express here.

For the last 5 years we have all stuck together, it was not always easy and yet here we are with Blues Traveler still rocking and you all still coming to shows with your energy and love. Thank you for this and thank you for sticking around. The guys do notice your love for them and it pushes them to play each day.

The love and support has carried all of us I think and yet the factors around Central Park were too large to carry us this time and the negativity would have been bad for BT and all of you. Maybe not today but down the road and I personally think we all deserve better. I am not going to rant here, I am just trying to be honest with my thoughts to you, some of you may not know but I love this band too. I am a fan and have been for a long time, the guys in Blues Traveler are not only the men I work for, they are my best friends and my brothers, the loves of my life. You guys, my "Fellow Travelers", you are my family, my tribe and I want to hear from you. I hope you will feel you can voice to me all your thoughts - email me - blackcatz at earthlink dot net.

Again, we apologize for canceling the show in Central Park and we will be back in NYC as soon as we can to play the cool show that we envisioned.

The band will be heading to Red Rocks in Denver on Saturday to play for the Denver Rescue Mission and then head into the studio, taking with them all the positive energy and love that you gave them this summer.

Thanks guys for reading... I'm going to steal from John Popper here-

All my love and respect,
