Though this is the group's maiden voyage east, its roots can be traced to the NE as Brendan Hill, drummer for the monster Princeton, New Jersey jamband Blues Traveler, a founding member of Stolen Ogre took time from his active schedule with Blues Traveler and returned to record on the band's new record.

In other news, readers of Relix Magazine this month will notice a picture of Chan rocking out at the Bob Sheehan Memorial All-Star Jam two months ago. The picture accompanies a brief review of the New York City event put on to memorialize the late Blues Traveler bassist. The article and picture appear in the "Scene and Heard" section.

Finally, time is winding down on the third annual Black Cat Spirit of Harp-n-Soul Raffle - many great prizes have been donated by fans and members of the Blues Traveler community, including a "Challenge prize", won by the largest single contributor to the raffle - an autographed bass guitar, signed by the original Blues Traveler lineup. The raffle runs through August 19th, with the drawing taking place on the fifth anniversary of Bobby's passing. All proceeds go to charities that benefit music and education, in the name of Bob Sheehan. Get your entries in soon!
