John Popper plays "The Star-Spangled Banner" - This mp3 comes from Blues Traveler's first show after the tragic events of September 11th, 2001. The band was scheduled to play a show the following night at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, NM. Instead, they canceled that show but carried on with their tour on September 14th at the Rialto Theatre in Tucson, AZ. Every show for the remainder of that leg of the tour featured John's unique rendition of the national anthem, and the band released this version shortly afterwards.
